Friends of the Coalition - Grandpa Gil's List

Every year, a typical condominium or homeowner association hires a variety of vendors or contractors to do work on association property. In addition, associations use the services of attorneys, accountants and other consultants. However, throughout the years, many associations have lost money or have been scammed dealing with unscrupulous vendors or contractors.

The FCAC has set up a program called "Friends of the Coalition." This program, also referred to as Grandpa Gil's List, involves companies that want to do business with our members. The FCAC will guarantee that each company on Grandpa Gil's list is licensed, if the state requires a license; and is insured or bonded. If any company breaches a contract with our member or scams a member, the FCAC will provide a free attorney to the member to take the appropriate legal action.
